The Huron Education team provides solutions across the following segments: Strategy and Operations, Research and Technology.
Managers will serve in an outward-facing, hands-on, and multi-faceted role combining project and engagement management, team leadership and relationship building with University clients at both the tactical and strategic levels. Managers play an integral role in the continued build-out and growth of the Strategy and Operations practice. At a broad level, primary responsibility is to shape and present deliverables which seamlessly align with the overall client goals, vision and mission.
While activities vary based on project size/scope and individual skill-sets and strengths, the Manager can expect to spend time as follows: 75% on client-facing engagement through all project phases (pursuit to delivery), project management, and intensive data-analysis to implement impactful recommendations. Approximately 25% of the Manager’s time will revolve around overall practice development, the mentorship of coachees (when assigned), and general project/organizational administrative tasks.
The Manager works in a uniquely collaborative setting and will interact across all internal and client organizational levels, including practice, Huron organizational and client leadership. Huron is big enough to provide Managers with a wide range of exposure but small enough to identify and test individual strengths and build upon them through provision of constant challenge in an intense, analytically rigorous, practical, entrepreneurial and intellectually stimulating setting. Every individual is additive to who we are as an organization.
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
• Bachelor's degree required
• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience working on complex team-based engagements in a consulting organization or institution, focused on driving change for results.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant managerial experience leading and developing teams.
• Willingness to travel weekly (typically Monday-Thursday)
• Work extended hours as necessary
• An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Demonstrable areas of specialty including one or more of the following:
o Financial feasibility analysis
o Market-sizing/new markets strategy and analysis
o Operational service delivery
o Change Management
o Organization assessment and design
o University Strategic planning or business plan development
o Launch of an international service offering
