Procurement Technology Associates in the Higher Education, Procurement Solutions practice play an integral client-facing project or work-stream leadership role. The Associate can expect his/her contributions to have a meaningful impact upon client projects, deliverables, processes, and supporting technologies. This role blends a passion for Higher Education with a business savvy and pragmatic orientation to participate in the shaping, development and delivery of procurement technology solutions in order to position our clients to outpace industry trends. While activities will vary based on project size/scope and individual skill-sets and strengths, the Associate can expect to spend his/her time roughly as follows: 90% will be allocated to material client interaction through all project phases, project management, ownership of functional business process and application analysis including the creation of compelling client-ready presentations and; 10% will be spent developing internal professional and practice development and carrying out administrative tasks in support of internal Huron initiatives.
• BA or BS from an accredited college or university Three or more years of procurement and payables related experience either in a consultative or substantial operational role
• Demonstrated experience with packaged procurement and payables applications (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SciQuest, Workday, Unimarket, Coupa, ESM)
• Broad understanding of general business concepts and disciplines and the impact of technology for process improvements
• Experience in public sector or higher education procurement
• Experience working with large organizations and managing client/customer relationships
• Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies, practices, and supporting technologies
• Experience with spend analysis technologies (e.g., Zycus, Rosslyn Analytics, Spend Radar)
