The Lead Virtualization Engineer works collaboratively with other team members and is the subject matter expert for virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure. The Lead Virtualization Engineer works with minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgement and decision-making on complex assignments where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This position will work collaboratively with all areas of IT to design, maintain and implement the holistic virtualization environment at Huron.
The Lead Virtualization Engineer will be responsible to provide support to systems and servers activities including installation, upgrades, automation, data processing, and/or administration activities. Our systems include the corporate vCenter environment including vSphere, vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, Hyper-V, and AWS. Additionally, the ideal candidate will engage in ongoing research of emerging trends and new technologies, which may benefit the organization’s goal of strategically implementing technology to enhance business performance, and specifically support the infrastructure.

- 5-7 years of experience in an enterprise environment
- Experience in vRA, vROPs, vSphere, vRealize Suite, VMware virtual switching, vMotion, HA
- Ability to manage and coordinate projects
- Ability to integrate VMware and Cisco Data Center technologies
- Knowledge of Airwatch and VMware Workspace One, AWS, Azure, hybrid-cloud environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications are a plus
