Job Summary: A Senior Director in the Human Resource practice will have significant responsibility for project management, solution design and implementation and generation of project results. They work closely with the client directors, managers and staff throughout the hospital and integrated delivery network. As a Director one is expected to manage a significant amount of project work as well as lead sales pursuits throughout the year. Job Details: Directors in the HR practice have the following responsibilities: - Identify, create, drive and deliver innovative service strategies and tools to generate significant profitable revenue opportunities at new and existing clients. - Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design and formulating conclusions and recommendations. - Collaborate with project planning and staff scheduling to insure leverage of resources. - Lead team efforts in developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met, including delivering results on time and within budget. - Conduct client interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design. - Participate in practice management which includes tools, methodologies, recruiting, people development and proposals as appropriate. - Provide quality control for work done by engagement team. - Prepare final client status reports and create presentations to clients and engagement staff that demonstrate full command of factual material. - Develop strong client relationships to expand current projects and identify new business and cross-selling opportunities. - Play a key role in the professional development and performance review of staff, including the mentoring and recruiting of staff. - Communicate effectively with all levels of client management. - Utilize proprietary tracking tools to measure project progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations. - Manage day-to-day client relationships - Lead the sale of $1-$3 million of new work, and participate in sales pursuits resulting in $3-$4 million - Lead client savings teams/areas on 2 to 5 projects
Candidate Requirements: * BA/BS in business or related field or higher degree in Human Resource Management preferred. * SPHR or CEBS desired. *15+ years in health and benefits consulting. Consulting firm background/experience a must, preferably with a major accounting/consulting firm or major HR consulting firm. Industry experience must include healthcare providers (hospitals and/or health systems), academic medical centers and/or universities/colleges *Key Experience Includes: o Prior C-suite interaction o Sales experience with accountability and proven success o Experience leading projects and engagements o Deep knowledge of health and benefits plans Additional Requirements: *Project Management experience, including creating work plans, budgets, managing budget to actual, goal setting/benchmarks and delivering on client expectations. *Supervisory experience required. Ability to coach and mentor staff. *Ability to provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external constituents. *Proven analytical and process redesign skills, including problem solving, quantitative reasoning, workflow process, etc. *Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment. *Ability to digest large amounts of information/data and distill it into an integrated, concise report *An outgoing individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to present effectively to senior management and boards. *A strong executive presence with some sales experience and the ability, interest and desire to sell is required. *A self-starter who is able to work well independently but also a team player who is both collaborative and flexible. Possesses a high level of self *confidence, an entrepreneurial spirit and a superb work ethic. *Solid technical and analytical computer skills, including excellent Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook software skills. Ability to make the following minimum travel commitment: Monday - Thursday on-site at client location/Friday home office - each/every week. As such, our consultants can live anywhere in the lower 48 states as long as they are near a major airport.
